Originally from the Chicagoland area, she decided to move out west about 2 years ago. With her theater and dance background, she wanted to explore film and television more and what better place is there to be than Los Angeles, where she now resides.

BEFORE coming to L.A.

Kelly had studied theater and dance at Columbia College, Chicago. It was in high school and college when Kelly became involved in outreach and community programs, taught at several dance studios, including Lou Conte's Dance Studio, and even worked at the college level to assist a musical theater teacher at WCC, by the name of Maria Bakalis.

At that time she was able to build up her professional resume and tour as a dancer for several artists including R. Kelly, Jay-Z, and Stellar Award Winner, Donald Lawrence. She and the dance group, "Off-the-Ground", were featured on an episode showcasing young talent on WGN's Jenny Jones Show!

Other credits include McDonald's, Lady Footlocker, Adidas, Crunch Fitness, Von Dutch, Lucky (a.k.a. Will, from Puffy's "Making the Band 4"), and she was a Junior Olympic Gold Medalist for the dance group category. She had the honor to work with Second City, Chicago, when she was cast in "Words" and participated in plays, musicals, and even a couple episodes of Columbia College's soap opera, "Hungry Hearts".

NOW in L.A.

She has landed the fun and hip role of "Pinky" on the Emmy nominated show, Hip Hop Harry, which airs 5 days a week and is on both Discovery Kids and TLC!! (see Pinky page for details) She is currently cast in "A Tree Falls", directed by Hassan Sherkat and a horror film titled "These Woods", directed by Michael Caradonna. She has continued to do theater and was in "Diary of a Catholic School Dropout" at the Whitmore-Lindley Theater, worked with the Coop Theater in Santa Monica, and played a young Marilyn Monroe at First Stage. While continuing to act, she has grown an enormous respect for all aspects of the business and the entire creative process for all art forms involved, which she is currently becoming more familiar with. One example was when she shadow directed for the annual ABC Showcase and her dance background came in handy for one of the comedic scenes. "I am fascinated by the many different talents that are involved in pulling a project off and I don't want to limit myself." Kelly exclaims.

Also, Kelly recently became involved with the press and emcee world. She freelances as a "Host With The Most", which covers reporting, on-camera interviews skills, and emceeing. "I could talk to anyone about anything," she says. With her theatrical and live performance background she is not shy in front of an audience or the cameras and shows respect to those who she is interviewing. Thanks to my family, friends, and God for blessing me, supporting me, and your guidance in my journey!
